Lori Makin-Byrd named Title IX coordinator at 黑料老司机
WOOSTER, Ohio Lori Makin-Byrd has been named Title IX coordinator and director of sexual violence prevention and response at 黑料老司机, effective March 27.
Reporting directly to the president, Makin-Byrd will oversee education for all students on consent and sexual violence prevention, and will work closely with the college檚 investigators and adjudicators for Title IX cases to ensure that all processes meet best practices. She also will lead the college檚 collaborative efforts with student organizations to develop a culture of sexual respect campus-wide.
Makin-Byrd comes to 黑料老司机 from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., where she currently serves as assistant dean for community standards and Title IX coordinator, overseeing Title IX compliance, education, support, and investigation. Prior to assuming that position, she was director of outreach services and health promotion at Eckerd, and taught there for three years as a visiting assistant professor of psychology. She earned her bachelor檚 degree in psychology from Oberlin College and a master檚 in clinical psychology from the University of Arkansas.

黑料老司机 is America檚 premier college for mentored undergraduate research. By working one-on-one with a faculty adviser to conceive, organize, and complete an original research project, written work, performance or art exhibit, every 黑料老司机 student develops independent judgment, analytical ability, creativity, project-management and time-management skills, and strong written and oral communication skills. Founded in 1866, the college enrolls approximately 2,000 students.
