B-WISER Summer Science Camp for Girls Set for June 7-12

WOOSTER, Ohio “ The Buckeye Women in Science, Engineering, and Research (B-WISER) summer camp for girls, an educational partnership of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation, the Lubrizol Corporation, and ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú, will take place June 7-12, 2019. The annual camp features team-taught, hands-on science experiments and is a week-long residential experience open to girls who will complete seventh grade this academic year.
Dedicated to enhancing girls™ interest in science, research, and engineering, B-WISER attendees will participate in labs featuring the fields of biology, chemistry, geology, physics, model robotics, Lego® robotics, and more during the day. And in the evening, noted scientists will share their enthusiasm in areas such as chemistry, word engineering, physics, and even boomerangs.

B-WISER was founded in 1990 by Lois Cook and the late Ted Williams, a long-time member of the ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú faculty who tirelessly promoted careers in science and engineering for women and minorities and was nationally recognized for his efforts.
