Craven檚 Expertise on LGBTQ Family檚 Reproductive Losses Included in Enlightening Article

WOOSTER, Ohio Christa Craven, dean for faculty development at 黑料老司机, was featured prominently in a Huffington Post Canada article, published Tuesday, as she offered her expertise on an important, but overlooked subject the lack of support LGBTQ families face when experiencing reproductive loss.
The longform piece, 淟GBTQ Pregnancy Loss and Miscarriage Often Means Grieving in the Gaps, coincided with Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day on Oct. 15 and echoed many of the themes from Craven檚 recently published book, 淩eproductive Losses: Challenges to LGBTQ Family-Making and companion resource .
The range of such losses for LGBTQ individuals is 渙ften more nuanced than is typically represented, the writer contributed, and Craven backed it up saying, 渢here may not be a physical pregnancy someone lost, but rather, their dreams of having a family in a particular way.
Craven also helped explain why people should consider the differences of an LGBTQ reproductive loss when expressing support and why 渢he feeling of failure is heightened for LGBTQ+ folks.
