Dylan Findley檚 music compositions explore and express intangible truths through theconvergence of heart, mind, spirit, and body without disregarding the power of irony anddry wit. His career has led him to commissioned collaborative projects premiered onthree continents by top new music performers. As a clarinetist, he has performed andimprovised music across the US and in Medell铆n, Colombia, and he leads an on-campus improvisation group.

Dylan has received commissions from the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, theBarlow Endowment, the Center for Latter-day Saint Arts, S茫o Paulo ContemporaryComposers Festival Orchestral Commissioning Project, New American Voices, the
American Guild of Organists Student Commissioning Project. His works have beenfeatured on at festival in Italy, Brazil, Colombia, and across the United States by groupsincluding newEar, the McCormick Percussion Group, Gal谩n Trio, Transient Canvas,members of the Cleveland Orchestra, Ensemble Mise-En,Quarteto L橝rianna,Mnemosyne Quartet, Great Noise Ensemble, PULSE Trio, Frost Symphony Orchestra,and Brigham Young University檚 Wind Symphony. He received his Doctor of MusicalArts at University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Premiered by Nathan Mensink and Russ Zokaites at the 2021 International Trombone Festival at Columbus State University in Columbus, GA.

The Story of Our Journey(October 2020)

Premiered by Csaba Jevtic-Somlai virtually in 2020 and live in October 2021 at Their Story is Our Story’s Lecture Series at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. The audio and video footage central to the work was used in partnership with international refugee advocacy organization Their Story is Our Story.
